As a former lawyer, I've always been a big believer in the power of organization. But when it came to my own personal life, I realized that I was drowning in a sea of paperwork. Having three young kids, moving across the country twice, and juggling a variety of personal and professional responsibilities left me feeling overwhelmed and stressed.
I knew there had to be a better way to manage all of my important documents. So, I set out to create a solution that would help people like me get their "ducks in a row" and achieve clarity and peace of mind for themselves and their loved ones.
When I was presented with the opportunity to build a business focused on estate planning documents through the venture studio Jelly Collective, I saw a chance to make a real difference in people's lives. But I knew that the challenges of managing important documents went far beyond just estate planning.
I wanted to create a platform that would help people create, organize and manage all of their most important life documents.
The name "Duckpins" is a nod to the old-fashioned bowling pins that were shaped like ducks. Before you could bowl, you had to "get your ducks in a row." Similarly, Duckpins aims to help people get their ducks in a row by providing a simple, accessible, and affordable way to draft and manage important documents.
My goal with Duckpins is to empower people to get their ducks in a row by taking control of their important documents. By providing a simple, secure, and affordable solution, I hope to help people achieve peace of mind and ensure that their loved ones are taken care of.
